On June 11, Quang Ngai Provincial Police said that the Provincial Police Department for Investigation of Crimes on Corruption, Economy, Smuggling, and Environment had just coordinated with functional units to conduct a surprise environmental inspection of L. Joint Stock Company (located in Binh Nguyen Commune, Binh Son District).

The inspection results found that the company had dumped and buried solid waste (suspected to be waste containing hazardous components) into the soil environment in violation of regulations with a volume of over 100 tons and discharged wastewater into the environment in violation of regulations. The inspection team took 4 samples of waste for monitoring.
Previously, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes of Quang Ngai Province Police discovered and administratively sanctioned two cases, namely B.T. Company Limited (located in La Ha Industrial Cluster, Tu Nghia District) and V.D. Company Limited (Tinh Phong Commune, Son Tinh District) for dumping ordinary industrial solid waste into the soil environment in violation of environmental protection regulations. According to Quang Ngai Province Police, the act of dumping and burying ordinary, hazardous industrial solid waste in violation of environmental protection regulations by production and business enterprises in the province will cause many consequences for the environment in the long term, increasing the risk of water and soil pollution, directly affecting the health of people living in the surrounding area.
